Zingiberis Rhizoma Processum,  Amber Ginger. commonly known as Tieban ginger, is produced in Qianwei and Junlian County, Sichuan Province. The plant is about 70cm high and the leaves are lanceolate and green. The rhizome is irregular palm shaped, the epidermis is light yellow, the buds and the scales on the top of the ginger ball are purplish red, the meat is crisp and tender, the fiber is less, and the quality is excellent. With high capsaicin content and strong ginger flavor, it is the most suitable dried ginger for traditional Chinese medicine. Traditionally, it must be harvested a few days before and after the winter solstice every year, and then processed with the ancient Chinese formula and special technology. Zingiberis Rhizoma Processum block has natural color, fleshy cross-section and hard. It must be mashed or ground when used to fully show its efficacy.

In terms of medicinal value, compared with the dried ginger produced in other places, it has the effect of warming and tonifying. It is pungent and warm but not dry, dispersing cold in warm, keeping but not walking, promoting blood circulation and improving resistance.
