     Other name:Bupleurum 31;Bupleurum falcatum

    Bupleurum falcatum L. is the dried root of Bupleurum falcatum L. which belongs to the umbrella family. It is the main source of Bupleurum falcatum in Japanese Han prescription. It has detoxification, antipyretic and analgesic effects. Anti inflammatory and strong effects are widely used in Japan for the prevention and treatment of colds and hepatitis. Mitshima Bupleurum is native to Japan and Korea. It was planted artificially in 1965, but the production can only meet about 10% of Japan's domestic demand. Now, Shaanxi, Beijing and Chengdu have large scale production in China.
